KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened lower on Tuesday, tracking weak regional markets and Wall Street’s overnight decline.
At 9.10am this morning, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) index fell 2.76 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 1,640.96 from 1,643.72 at the close on Monday.
The benchmark index opened 0.95 points lower at 1,642.77.
In the overall market, losers outnumbered gainers by 180 to 121 while 273 counters were unchanged, 2,202 were untraded and 12 others were suspended.
Trading volume was 106.46 million shares worth RM62.36 million.
